Next the sub slab ventilation/radon mitigation system is installed. Standard Water Control is certified by the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) as a residential mitigation provider. Standard's sub slab ventilation system will draw out the damp smells, moisture, radon and other soil gasses and dispose of them safely outside your home; leaving you with a dry, comfortable space.

Standard Water’s heavy duty Diamond Diamond Brite Vapor GuardSM is then added to the floor and walls with a special adhesive to seal the seams. This unique barrier is an excellent choice for moisture control. Diamond Brite Vapor Guard SM meets or exceeds the ASTM E-1745 Class “C” standard as an underslab vapor retarder. As a plus, it’s not just functional; it also adds light and beauty to a formerly dirty, dingy crawl space.

Diamond Brite Vapor GuardSM consists of two sheets of high-strength virgin polyethylene film laminated together with a third layer of molten polyethylene. The white layer contains UV inhibitors and thermal stabilizers to reduce heat build up and condensation. A heavy duty diamond reinforcement placed between the plies greatly enhances tear resistance.

The result is a bright, safe, clean, useable crawl space where none existed before.
