The System sounds an alarm when maintenance is needed or problems arise, it is reliable – offering years of proven dependability and it is automatic.  Standard Waters’ battery back up system begins pumping automatically if the power is out, the primary pump fails, if there is more water than the primary pump can handle or when water rises above the point where the primary pump should have activated.

The pump used is professional grade and is much hardier than other pumps.  It can move as much or more water than your main pump; adding to your piece of mind.  The control unit monitors battery, power and pump conditions constantly.  It indicates the percentage of battery power available and tests the pump weekly.  The user friendly control panel pinpoints solutions for easy maintenance.

The entire system runs on standard household power, when available, without using the battery.  The system can pump continuously for 7 and a half hours on a single charge and can run intermittently for days.  The fully automatic 13 amp charger maintains the battery charge level and quickly recharges it after each use.

Even the battery in this system is special.  It is designed for standby use and will remain viable for 5 to 7 years.  This is because it is designed differently than other batteries.  Different materials are used that allow the battery to stay fully charged for long periods of time.  This means the battery has a longer useful life, which adds to homeowner security.   Standard Waters’ batteries come equipped with a fluid sensor; a low fluid alarm tells the homeowner when the battery needs refilling.
